Many may not know this, but Respect The Art Media first started as the origin of M.C. RTA, a rapper.
From an artist falling in love with graffiti, to dancing and learning about the breaks and the break dancer, to rocking the crowd behind the turntables, RTA was founded as soon as Matthew took pen to paper and started writing raps. M.C. RTA produced 3 independent projects and a string of singles from 2007 - 2018. Although you may be able to find some recent singles online, the three early album projects have been pulled from the internet due to sampling and licensing matters. FREE SAMPLER [2007] - This was essentially the learning curve project for Matthew both as an artist and audio engineer before earning an audio engineering degree.
Relevant [2008] - This album was the most complete body of work and is where Matthew's voice really took form. This was a collaborative album with beats produced by Breakthru. This album was nominated for Best Hip Hop Album in the Inland Empire and received many positive reviews. Up All Night EP [2012] - This was a concept EP that was written and recorded all in one night. This was also a collaborative album with beats produced by Breakthru. This album also included a digital photo booklet. |
